The 'Dating Blog' section of the site was set up to provide users with a way to keep a diary of their dating experiences. There are already several blogs to have a look at. To see them, simply type in blogs.dating.org.uk or click the Dating blogs link under the top bar of this page.

So who would want to keep a blog?

For people dating in the UK, a blog is an excellent way for you to keep an online diary of your dating and socialising experiences and update other posters on your activity at any time.

For Forum Experts, a blog could enable you to comment on news and give personal views on dating issues.

It is easy to set up a blog. Simply go to blogs.d8.org and click the ‘create new blog’ link. Here you will be asked for a name for your blog. If you are a forum user this could be your username. My name is Eugenie so if I did it I would put Eugenie as my username. That would give me the blog address of eugenie.blogs.d8.org.

The title is the name of the blog. I would put Eugenie's Dating Blog. Once you've done that, an email will be sent to your email address and once you have clicked the link in that email, your blog will be set up and running.

To use you blog simply go to yourname.blogs.d8.org and login or click on site admin. I would go to Eugenie.blogs.d8.org. To write your first post click on write on the top bar. You will see a text entry page where you type in a title and the text. Simply enter your first post here and click publish. This will then be your first post. Repeating the exercise will write your second post, you most recent post is always at the top.

For the more advanced users there is plenty more functionality to play with - you can also try uploading images, writing additional pages like your profile and you can add links.
